Brachioplasty

There are several methods available to improve the shape and size of the upper arm, the brachioplasty. Each of the methods basically relies on some level of liposuction to thin out the thicker, fatty aspects of the arm, along with a skin resection that hides the incision on the inner side of the arm. The incision usually extents into the armpit (and can be combined with an axilloplasty, if needed, to contour the upper sides of the chest and armpit). A well done brachioplasty will result in loss of the “wings” hanging from the upper arm while maintaining a pleasing proportion to the forearm and lower arm. Whichever method is right for you, Dr. Makipour will discuss the options available and the benefits of each option for your specific goals.
