Every amenity of a full service hospital is at our disposal including board certified anesthesiologists, the most up-to-date technology and equipment, and all other medical and surgical sub-specialty doctors available for consultation. This gives you the personalized service of Dr. Makipour’s friendly, private, and comfortable clinic and the safety and security of a full service hospital. The Surgeon:

       

A talented surgeon, Dr. John Makipour was born and raised in Oklahoma City, getting his undergraduate degree with High Honors at the University of Oklahoma, his medical training at the University of Oklahoma, and his surgical residency training at the University of Oklahoma. He was honored with the Oklahoma Surgical Society award as the top surgery student in his class, an award only given to one student in the state per medical school class.

After becoming Board Certified, Dr. Makipour opened a flourishing surgery practice in Oklahoma. He underwent further training at the world famous Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Weight Loss Surgery, and then opened the EASTAR Bariatrics Program at the regional health center in Muskogee, becoming the Director of Bariatrics and the Chairman of the Department of Surgery. He was also a clinical professor for the Oklahoma State University College of Medicine, mentoring multiple students into various surgical fields.

Watching his weight loss patients’ transformation is what prompted Dr. Makipour to seek further fellowship training in the field of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Makipour received fellowship training at one of the largest cosmetic surgery practices in the Midwest, performing over 1,000 face, breast, and body cosmetic surgeries, including those with staff at OU that focus on facial plastic surgery—successfully obtaining a second board certification in Cosmetic Surgery.

Now Dr. Makipour is able to provide complete transformation for those patients wishing to undergo weight loss surgery, who also wish to continue the journey with contouring cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Makipour spends time away from the office with his wife Alison, whom he met in high school, and their two children Barnett and Clementine.
